AMAZING PROTEIN COOKIE DOUGH

Here is THE Amazing Protein Cookie Dough I make when I’m craving a protein treat that tastes like the real deal. Seriously, the texture and the flavor is spot on. I usually just eat both servings cause there’s no stopping my love of cookie dough! Luckily, it’s pretty satisfying and much lower in calories than Toll House cookie dough. Admittedly, it’s still more of a “treat” than a meal replacement so keep that in mind if you make this. It’s perfect when you’re craving real cookie dough but want to get some protein, too 😉

Protein recommendations

To up the protein content, I used Quest Vanilla Milkshake protein powder, which a great-tasting whey blend that works great for baking. You can use any vanilla-flavored whey or vegan protein you have on hand (as long as you like the taste)! Since this recipe is no-bake, it’s pretty forgiving with the type of protein, but you make need to adjust the amount of water to get a thick, dough-like consistency.

Flour recommendations

I really love using organic oat flour in this recipe! There’s something about the taste of oat flour that works SO WELL in this cookie dough. That being said, you can try using all-purpose, brown rice flour, or gluten-free baking flour if you don’t have oat flour. You can also substitute the oat flour for two and a half tablespoons of coconut flour for a lower carb version… but it won’t taste as much like real cookie dough.

Sweetener recommendations

I used Truvia Sweet Complete Brown for more of a classic cookie dough flavor. Any other brown sugar sweetener will also work, such as Swerve Brown, Lakanto Golden, or Allulose Brown. You can also substitute maple syrup for the brown sugar blend, just make sure to also reduce the water by the same amount (this will increase the calories and sugar per serving). Feel free to use your sweetener of choice – just adjust sweetness according to taste!

Other recommendations

Last but not least, I added one tablespoon of vegan buttery spread (can also use light) for that crave-worthy buttery sensation. Feel free to sub one tablespoon of neutral-flavored nut butter (like cashew butter), or even make a peanut butter version (can never go wrong with peanut butter)! The only other ingredients you’ll need are salt, baking soda, pure vanilla extract, and mini chocolate chips. The baking soda adds that authentic cookie dough flavor, but it’s optional.

Here’s the printable recipe for this Amazing Protein Cookie Dough! I’d love your comment below if you try it 😉
