HEALTHY FALL DESSERT RECIPES
Looking for healthy fall dessert recipes with apples, pumpkins, maple, spices and pecans? Also hoping to find something gluten-free, dairy-free, low in sugar and high in protein? I have got you covered with this delicious roundup of favorite fall desserts.
I started recipe blogging back in 2015 under my former pen name "No Excuses Chick." Now 8 years later, I've learned so much about baking, photography, and blogging in general! My mindset has also become a lot more balanced towards food and I'm now dairy-free and gluten-free. As always, my recipes are macro-friendly, low sugar, and usually have some added protein for staying power!
Apple Caramel Protein Scones
These Caramel Apple Protein Scones are the perfect healthy fall treat (or breakfast)! Think tender crumbly texture, golden brown edges, cinnamon apple chunks, all drizzled with low sugar caramel. Best of all, these scones are gluten-free and low in sugar with a healthy boost of collagen protein! Get the recipe here.
Protein Apple Crisp (For One)
This Protein Apple Crisp for One has warm sweet-tart apples, rich flavors of brown sugar and butter, and a crunchy oatmeal streusel on top. Perfect with melty vanilla ice cream! Did I mention it’s healthy and under 200 calories for the whole thing? You know what that means… no self control needed! This is one of those recipes I make over and over. Recipe here.
Protein Apple Crisp (Dairy Free)
Apple desserts have to be my favorite - and this Protein Apple Crisp did not disappoint! Baked cinnamon apples are layered between two buttery layers of oat crisp, with a hint of cardamom for those "apple pie" vibes. It's the perfect healthy dessert topped with your choice of dairy-free or protein vanilla ice cream! Trust me, you need the recipe.
Apple Cider Protein Donuts (Vegan)
These Apple Cider Protein Donuts are vegan, sugar-free and gluten-free while keeping that classic apple cider taste! They have a crispy exterior you’ll swear is deep-fried, and a crave-worthy cinnamon “sugar” coating. I am seriously contemplating making a third batch… they’re that good. Surprisingly, there’s only 1 gram of sugar per donut, with 9 grams of complete protein! Recipe here :)
Apple Crumble Protein Muffins (Vegan)
These Apple Crumble Protein Muffins are full of apple cinnamon goodness and topped with a buttery oat crumble (yummm). They’re also gluten-free, low in fat and sugar, and high in protein! The texture is tender but dense – definitely hearty enough to keep you full for a couple hours. That’s why I love protein in my baked goodies – it transforms a “treat” into a more filling snack. Grab the recipe!
Apple Pie Baked Protein Oatmeal
This Apple Pie Baked Protein Oatmeal tastes so good, I kept returning to the fridge for another bite! If you’ve never had baked oatmeal before, it’s basically a moist, hearty oat cake. This healthy version tastes like straight-up apple pie (hence the name)! It’s also vegan, dairy-free, egg-free, low sugar, high in protein, and can be easily made gluten-free using certified gluten-free rolled oats. I just love it topped with sugar-free caramel sauce! Here's the recipe :)
Caramel Apple Pancakes
These 3-ingredient pancakes are topped with sautéed apples, walnuts, raisins, and a sugar-free caramel sauce. They always come out so moist and fluffy, and they couldn’t be easier to make! And the caramel sauce is TO. DIE. FOR. Recipe here.
Pumpkin Pie Protein Oatmeal
Conflicted about the seasons? Top your Pumpkin Pie Protein Oatmeal with ICE CREAM! Seriously, it’s so good. This pumpkin pie protein oatmeal has become an everyday indulgence – I literally can’t stop eating it! Pumpkin Protein Mug Cake
This Pumpkin Protein Mug Cake satisfies my cravings, fit my macros, and is ready in less than 5 minutes. BAM. Cake, get in my mouth! This cake is satisfying enough to replace one of my regular meals, or have as an extra meal on leg day. Not sure if I love leg day because it’s super hard core, or simply because I get to eat more. Hmmmm… anyway, get the recipe here.
Pumpkin Spice Protein Cupcakes
These pumpkin spice protein cupcakes are beyond scrumptious! I can’t decide what I love most: the macros, the maple cream cheese frosting, or the moist spiced cake…. but at any rate, these are a must try if you’re a fan of pumpkin. You can find the recipe here :)
Pumpkin Spice Protein Waffles
Definitely the best waffles I’ve made. They’re irresistible topped with pure maple syrup and chopped pecans (Mmm). Not to mention, each waffle packs 20 grams of protein, with only 4 grams of sugar and less than 8 grams of fat. These are also gluten-free if you use sorghum flour like I did. Vegan subs included! Recipe here.
Pumpkin Protein Cinnamon Rolls
These Pumpkin Protein Cinnamon Rolls are the perfect festive fall breakfast. The texture is doughy just like you’d expect from a fresh-baked cinnamon roll, and the flavor is sweet pumpkin spice with a rich maple cream frosting. Oh my yummm! Because there’s no yeast in this recipe, you can have warm cinnamon rolls on your table in 30 minutes or less. Best of all, each full-sized roll is only 250 calories with 18 grams of protein and just 7 grams of sugar, including the frosting. Snag the recipe here!
Pumpkin Collagen Protein Blondies
These Pumpkin Collagen Protein Blondies were the best healthy snack with my early morning coffee! These blondies are the perfect balance of cakey and fudgey, and full of pumpkin spice and dark chocolate chips. Seriously – they taste as good as any bakery! Hard to believe they’re low carb, virtually sugar-free, gluten-free and high-protein, with only 109 calories per serving! Here's the recipe.
Iced Pumpkin Protein Bread (Vegan)
This Iced Pumpkin Protein Bread is vegan, gluten-free, and low in sugar… the perfect snack to pair with coffee or chai tea (mmm). Even though this bread has 14 grams of protein per slice, it’s ridiculously soft, heavy with moisture, and full of pumpkin spice flavor! That dairy-free cream cheese is just the icing on the err… bread ;) I love this so much I’ve made it four times already! Click here for the recipe.
Pumpkin Pie Protein Truffles (Vegan)
Pumpkin and white chocolate is one of my favorite fall flavor combos! These Pumpkin Pie Protein Truffles taste like pumpkin pie rolled into balls and smothered with rich white chocolate. They're also gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and easily made low carb and keto. So irresistible I've made two batches already! Literally cannot distinguish these from full sugar treats. Recipe here!
White Chocolate Pumpkin Protein Cookies
I can’t get enough of these soft-baked White Chocolate Pumpkin Protein Cookies! I don’t know about you, but I think white chocolate and pumpkin are a match made in heaven. Maple Glazed Pumpkin Spice Protein Donuts
What’s your favorite donut flavor? For me, it’s definitely maple glazed. So of course, I have to make these Maple Glazed Pumpkin Spice Protein Donuts! It took several tries, but the texture of these gluten-free pumpkin spice protein donuts is perfect – dense enough to break apart, yet tender and cake-y. I also love how the maple glaze hardens into a sweet shell! Grab the recipe here.
Mini Pumpkin Pies (Low Fat, Low Sugar)
These cute mini pies taste just like the classic with a crumbly crust and pudding-like pumpkin filling rich in sweet spices. They’re just divine with dairy-free coconut whipped cream!
